I've never been to an unconference. Will I be lost?
Not even a little. We open the day by explaining exactly how everything works, and facilitators keep things moving. If you can have a conversation, you can do this. Most first-timers say it clicks within the first 20 minutes.
Do I have to lead a session or speak in front of people?
Nope. You can pitch a topic, join discussions, or mostly listen — your level of participation is entirely up to you. (Though fair warning: most people who plan to "just listen" end up jumping in. It's kind of contagious.)
What if none of the sessions interest me?
Two safeguards: first, YOU help pick the topics, so the odds are in your favor. Second, the "law of two feet" — if a session isn't serving you, you're encouraged to get up and move to another one. No guilt, no side-eye.
Who's going to be in the room?
